Bee keeping experience days

Do you love bees and want to know more about what goes on inside a bee hive? Join us on our Bee Keeping Experience Day based Findon, West Sussex at the foot of Cissbury Ring in the South Downs National Park. 

In this 3 hour session you will receive an introduction to how beekeepers manage and care for bees and discover:

The different bees inside a hive and how we use a modern hive 

How they are created and their different jobs inside the hive

Explore an active hive, looking out for the queen, eggs, larvae and emerging bees 

A day in the life of a honey bee including what they eat and their daily tasks

Learn about the the honey making process and sample a selection of honey from each of our 8 apiaries.

The experience day will also help you to determine if keeping bees may be a future possibility for you.
